A little more about philippa roberts jewelry

Simply beautiful and classically romantic, philippa roberts jewelry makes a woman feel purely feminine. Born in south Africa to a jewelry making family, Philippa was naturally drawn to working with metals and stones. Drawing inspiration from the Pacific Coast, she has been designing amazing jewelry in her studio in the San Francisco Bay area. Using silver as her main medium, Philippa creates necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings that can be worn formally or informally, with an appeal to all ages.

The kind people over at philippa roberts jewelry were so very generous to send to me the long open drop in vermeil earrings. Um, can you say FABULOUS!

First, are you wondering what vermeil means? (I certainly was...)

Vermeil[1], a French word which came into use in the English language, mostly in America, in the 19th century as an alternative for the usual term silver-gilt, is a combination of sterling silver, gold, and other precious metals. It is commonly used as a component in jewelry. A typical example is sterling silver coated with 14 carat (58%) gold. Now that the definition of vermeil is cleared up... I can tell you more about these beautiful earrings.

The long open drop in vermeil earrings, part of the Rain Collection, are absolutely stunning and unique. Since my  new favorite metal has been gold lately, these were perfect for me. This pair of earring have about a 2 1/2" drop. They are super light weight, but very sturdy. They do not feel as though they are weighing you down. This is definitely a pair of earring that I can see myself wearing quite often (like today, tomorrow and the next...). I am truly loving them SO MUCH! Thank you Philippa!
